ABOUTthe Parenting Center of Upper MerionThe Parenting Center provides families with a strong foundation for nurturing and developing their children to their fullest potential; for assisting their children to enter school with a readiness to learn; and for preparing their children to be productive contributors to the community at large.The Parenting Center provides families a safe, caring environment for learning, growth and change. Families are strengthened by acquiring essential skills and effective principles for successful parenting. In our center, parents have the opportunity to learn about their children's needs. Philosophy Parents are a child's first and most important teacher. Our discussion groups focus on various aspects of child rearing including: Regular Weekly Classes Small Groups Geared to Specific Ages Facilitated by our qualified group leaders and child care aides, the program provides a wonderful opportunity to meet with other parents, ask questions, share ideas, develop new parenting skills in a warm supportive environment. |
